In Brazil, where I‘m originally from, I was taught the importance of hard work by my parents. Although I didn’t come from a privileged background, it never felt like a problem as long as I worked hard to achieve my goals. In 2016, despite having a stable career and comfortable lifestyle, I made the decision to move to a foreign country to learn English and pursue a Master’s Degree in process optimisation; a field that fascinated me. It hasn’t always been easy, but it’s definitely been worth it and I know my journey is far from finished.
