Lisa Kirkendale is a marine scientist and taxonomist at the WA Museum with a passion for sharing her discoveries and fostering a love of inquiry. She has written many reports and papers on diverse topics on molluscan relationships, invertebrate diversity and marine pest species. She has ensured indigenous high school student participation in novel deep sea research this past year off Ningaloo. She has managed to deliver a research program on marine micromolluscs in the Kimberley, enticing ABC to cover the story in the process. She collaborates widely and effectively. She is a core contributor to the development of content for the New Museum in Perth. Her greatest achievement is supporting a highly productive and passionate team.
