Dr Kimberley Wang moved from Malaysia to Adelaide to pursue a science undergraduate degree and then a PhD which she completed in three years. Her research focused on the impact of low birth weight on cardiac development. After her PhD, she relocated to Perth and transit to study the fetal origins of respiratory disease.
She has being successful in obtaining back-to-back fellowships and is currently a Thoracic Society of Australia & New Zealand /National Asthma Council – Asthma and Airways Career Development Fellow. She has attracted >$1 million funding to support her research activities. Reflecting her status as one of WA’s leading researchers, she was the first Australian to win the American Thoracic Society – Allergy, Immunology & Inflammation International Early Career Achievement Award.
