Gia Parish

Gia is the Associate Dean, Research – Faculty of Engineering and Mathematical Sciences at UWA, where she is recognised as highly successful, credible and internationally respected and published academic. She has demonstrated commitment, flexibility, adaptability and self-discipline throughout her career. She works to articulate and achieve a vision by bringing people on board with collaborative focus (internal and external), high expectations of professional behaviour and personal excellence, and always seeking to be informed by expertise and best practice. Gia is an inspirational, female role model in STEM and strives for excellence, social justice and integrity in her chosen field and broader life context. She is particularly driven to ensure she actively mentors and coaches others, including female students and undergraduate engineering students.
