Jodie joined the WA Police Force as a Police Cadet in March 1988 and graduated from the Police Academy in 1990.

In 1998 following the successful completion of the Police Bomb Technicians Course, she became a Bomb Technician within the TRG. In 2001 she completed the Skills Enhancement Course in Hobart, Tasmania and was appointed a nationally accredited “Number 1” Bomb Technician.

Jodie has had extensive involvement in policing operations around the nation and in 2015 she received Australia Day Honours and was awarded the Australian Police Medal (APM) for her service to WA Police, in particular the Bomb Response Capability.

Im her current role, Jodie is focussed on improving the technology and capabilities of the Western Australia Police Force.
